Shiva Playable In The Streets Of Rage 4 Mr. X Nightmare DLC

He doesn’t need a weapon, he is the weapon

The final character for the upcoming Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare DLC has been revealed, and it’s none other than Shiva. We totally called it!  Shiva, a fan favorite of the Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle series ever since he was revealed during the Sega Genesis games, is a welcomed addition.

While we didn’t get a chance to play as Shiva during the original Streets of Rage 4, we did fight against him. That first time we did battle, it was amazing. The fight, the music, and damn I was impressed. So I’m thrilled to see that we’ll be able to play as Shiva soon enough.

Not only does Shiva come complete with a wide assortment of powerful moves, but he can also reflect projectiles tossed at him. He also appears to have several moves, such as an air dash that lets him continue or connect combos. He definitely looks like a lot of fun to play with, that’s for sure. In fact, I’m calling dibs; he’s all mine!

With Shiva revealed, he’ll join the other two characters added with this new DLC; Estel and Max Thunder.

We still don’t know when Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare will be released, as DotEmu and Guard Crush Games have been quiet about the release date. But now that the final character (we believe anyway) has been revealed, it shouldn’t be much longer before we get a release date.

Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare will be available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC, Mac, and Linux.
