What? Microsoft is skipping out on the 2015 Tokyo Game Show?

In a bizarre turn of events, it seems that Microsoft has decided not to attend this years Tokyo Game Show. I don’t know about you but skipping out on perhaps one of the biggest video game shows  of the year doesn’t make much sense, especially if you’re still trying to gain some ground in the Land of the Rising Sun.

“2015 will continue to provide an attractive game line-up, exclusive titles included,” Microsoft Japan category marketing group’s Masayuki Inoue said in a statement. “This year, Microsoft will not exhibit the Tokyo Game Show, but we’re making various preparations to deliver the latest Xbox news to fans and media. We will provide an update as soon as we can.” — Microsoft Japan marketing executive Masayuki Inoue.

Now it would seem that Microsoft has their own plans in place of attending the Tokyo Game Show, however those details aren’t known just yet. Expect more news about Microsoft’s decision and plans soon.

The 2015 Tokyo Game Show runs from September 17-20.
