The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Exclusive Card Preview

By Karl SmartOctober 31, 2023
The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Magic: The Gathering

Do you love Magic: The Gathering? Do you love Dinosaurs? Are you a fan of Jurassic Park? Then The Lost Caverns of Ixalan is going to be the expansion set for you!

Releasing on November 17th, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan will feature Ancient Artifacts, Powerful Lands, and Ferocious Beasts that have been discovered hiding under Ixalan.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Wizards of the Coast, The Outerhaven has been given an exclusive card from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan to reveal to you right now!

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Magic: The Gathering Jurassic Park

Dreadmaw’s Ire, a single red mana cost card will bring ruin to your opponents should you want to give your dinosaur attacker a bit more bite.

Slapping this Instant cast spell down during your attack phases will add +2 power and +2 toughness to your creature, and add trample, so any additional damage you can deal after running over your opponent’s blocker will be done to your opponent… Not to mention that if you are successful in damaging your opponent (not their blocker), you can destroy one artifact that they control on the playfield.

To say that Dreadmaw’s Ire is a monster of a boosting spell is an understatement. Given that The Lost Caverns of Ixalan has a lot of Artifacts coming into play, this card is going to be a must-have for any standard or Commander deck if you want to keep things aggressive and competitive.

To learn more about The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, you can visit the product page here.

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan will be released with a lot of products on November 17th, 2023, including Collector Booster Packs, Set Booster Packs, Draft Booster Packs, Commander Decks, Bundles, and Gift Bundles.

If you want to play Magic: The Gathering or buy The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, you can do so by heading over to your local card game store. Can’t find your local store? Then click here to use Wizard of the Coast‘s store locator website to find it!
