The dead are rising once again, and this time they are ready to get to work. During the Future Games Show at gamescom 2026, Graveyard Keeper 2 received a brand-new trailer confirming that the medieval graveyard management sequel will officially launch on September 22, 2026.
The sequel to the original Graveyard Keeper will launch across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players can also pre-order the game now, and those who do so will receive exclusive bonus items at launch.
Graveyard Keeper 2 once again puts players in charge of their own medieval graveyard, but things are about to get considerably more undead. Rather than simply burying corpses and keeping the local cemetery in business, players can bring the dead back to life and build their very own army of zombies. The game allows players to harvest useful materials from corpses, including hearts, bones, brains, and skin. Players can then use these gruesome resources to create machinery, automate production, and turn an undead workforce into a surprisingly efficient business operation.
Of course, there is more to life as a medieval graveyard keeper than corpse management. Players will also be able to farm food, look after livestock, fish, trade, customize their character, upgrade abilities, and complete storylines as they explore the world. The sequel also expands the setting with a massive town overrun by the undead. Players will help its inhabitants rebuild while exploring a variety of locations and earning revenue along the way. A city map will make traveling between different areas easier as the town continues to grow.
At the heart of Graveyard Keeper 2 is its management and automation system. Players can harvest flora and human remains, build machinery, and automate production as they expand their graveyard and try to turn their macabre operation into a profitable enterprise. The familiar grotesque humor of the original game also returns, alongside new characters, activities, and systems designed to expand the graveyard-keeping experience. With its combination of graveyard management, crafting, automation and an army of undead workers, Graveyard Keeper 2 looks set to give players plenty of questionable ways to make their medieval business thrive when it launches this September.
Graveyard Keeper 2 launches September 22, 2026, on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
