Capcom has released the gameplay trailer for Ingrid, the latest DLC character coming to Street Fighter VI. Alongside the reveal, the company also shared additional details about her abilities in a new Developer Blog.
Ingrid looks to be a highly tactical fighter, leaning heavily into zoning and mobility. Her toolkit includes teleport abilities that allow her to reposition quickly and stay just out of reach, making her a constant threat at mid-range. If you were hoping to see elements of characters like Menat or G return, Ingrid might be the closest thing yet.
Her moveset revolves around a system called Sun Crests, which power several of her abilities. Ingrid’s Super Arts emphasize control and sustained pressure. Order of the Sun creates a satellite-like attack that hits multiple times when opponents enter its range, while Shining Sun acts as her Level 1 Super and can be enhanced using stored Sun Crests for additional hits.
Her special moves further reinforce her zoning-heavy playstyle. Sun Veil functions as a counter that triggers after an opponent attacks, with its Overdrive version causing a knockdown. Sun Flare is her fast, full-screen projectile, while Solar Burst gives her an aerial option with a downward attack. Sun Shot can be charged for increased damage and, when used in its light version, helps generate a Sun Crest. Rounding things out is Vanishing Sun, a teleport that can follow up with a kick to keep pressure on opponents.
Visually, Ingrid retains her original costume design from her earlier appearances in Street Fighter / Capcom All Stars. Compared to others in a similar archetype, she appears to favor a more methodical and spacing-focused approach rather than pure aggression.
Ingrid will be available to Year 3 pass holders starting May 28. As for what comes next, Capcom has yet to officially confirm the Year 4 DLC lineup, though recent rumors suggest we may not have to wait long to find out.
Street Fighter VI is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
