One of the Street Fighter enigmas has been shown in the Street Fighter VI renders. Capcom revealed Ingrid’s model in her reveal trailer. According to Street Fighter lore, Ingrid is responsible for the creation of even Psycho Power itself – the very thing that powered tyrant M. Bison. or so they say. Why Ingrid is jumping into Street Fighter VI as a playable character is a strange thing indeed. The elegance throws folks off, I’m sure. She even knows Ryu.
Ingrid first appeared in a defunct Capcom Fighting All-Stars: Code Holders back in the early 2000s with two other characters D.D. and Rook – who were also Code Holders. The game was meant to take Street Fighter to the 3D plane from Capcom’s very own ends before Dimps did with Street Fighter IV but after Arika had done with Street Fighter EX. However, the project turned into 2D Capcom Fighting Jam instead because of unforeseen circumstances.

Ingrid has had two games within her playable form: Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper and Capcom Fighting Jam. Also, Ingrid’s been in Project X Zone 2. Ingrid is considered to be a time-traveling magic girl of the series. Ingrid’s moveset can be tricky with its own set of rules for even fireballs.
Just in case if you were looking to brush up, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 might have your back with both games. As usual, Ingrid’s backstory might be shown more of in the World Tour mode to even bring back her fellow Code Holder companions. We did get Mai Shiranui’s father’s actual appearance in her World Tour quest, after all. This is before SNK would ever bring him back in actual image form.
