WEBTOON Entertainment’s What’s Next from WEBTOON Entertainment panel wrapped up today at San Diego Comic-Con! The panel featured a slate of new WEBTOON Originals, returning fan-favorite series, publishing announcements, Creator reveals, partnership updates, and first looks at upcoming projects.

PARTNER SERIES
- Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins Launches August 4: WEBTOON and Dark Horse Comics bring the acclaimed prequel comic series to the hit Critical Role actual play campaign in WEBTOON’s vertical-scroll format. Vox Machina Origins becomes the second Critical Role title available on WEBTOON following The Mighty Nein Origins.
- Star Trek: Recollection Debuts First Look and July 26 Launch Date: Following the successful launch of Star Trek: Stargazers, WEBTOON and Paramount unveil the first look and official launch date for Star Trek: Recollection. Written by New York Times bestselling author Sam Maggs with artwork by Kisai Entertainment, the 40-episode original mystery follows seven strangers who awaken aboard a Federation starship with no memories in a story inspired by the eras of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager.
WEBTOON EN ORIGINALS
- School Bus Graveyard Returns This Winter: One of WEBTOON’s biggest horror Originals officially returns with new episodes this winter for season 3. The breakout supernatural thriller follows a group of high school students trapped between reality and a terrifying parallel world where monstrous creatures hunt them every night, and has become one of WEBTOON’s most-read horror series with over 294 million views.
- Fantasy High Returns This August: Writer Derek V. Song announces the return of Fantasy High for season 2 on August 3, the official adaptation of the Dimension 20 campaign.
- Vibe Check Returns This August: WEBTOON creator Ucheomaaa announces the return of Vibe Check on July 29 since the series went on hiatus in August 2025.
- Covenant Once Given Joins WEBTOON Originals This Winter: The Grand Prize winner of WEBTOON’s 2025 Webcomic Legends Contest officially joins the WEBTOON Originals lineup early next year. Created by one of the competition’s breakout new voices, the fantasy epic follows a world shaped by ancient promises, forgotten magic, and impossible choices.
- Love Bites Creator Returns with Romeo and Romeo: Following the success of Love Bites (+109M views), writer Alice Wallace returns to WEBTOON this winter with an all-new romance Original. Featuring a brand-new cast and story, Romeo Romeo delivers the heartfelt romance, comedy, and emotional storytelling that made the creator’s previous series a fan favorite.
- Rotaniah Returns with The Witch’s Mirror: Following the success of Star Catcher (+82M views), WEBTOON creator Rotaniah returns this winter with a brand-new fantasy Original. Blending magic, mystery, and Rotaniah’s signature artwork, The Witch’s Mirror marks the creator’s next major series for WEBTOON.
- ROSEOAK Announces New WEBTOON Original, Love, Theodora: The creator behind Not So Silent (+18M views) returns this winter with a brand-new sapphic romance following a witch and an opera singer. Originally developed as a CANVAS series, Love, Theodora has been updated for its WEBTOON Originals debut.
WEBTOON PRODUCTIONS
- The Lore Olympus (+1.8B views) animated series adaptation continues in production with Prime Video and The Jim Henson Company, with voice casting locked for Hades and Persephone.
- The Remarried Empress: Disney+ and Studio N’s lavish live-action TV series adaptation of the massively popular romance WEBTOON series (+565M) will premiere later this year.
WEBTOON UNSCROLLED
- Killer Peter Joins WEBTOON Unscrolled: WEBTOON announces Killer Peter Vol. 1 will publish in Summer 2027, continuing the publisher’s expansion of fan-favorite WEBTOON Originals (+38M views) into graphic novels.
- Upcoming WEBTOON Unscrolled Releases: WEBTOON also previews upcoming graphic novel releases, including Operation: True Love Vol. 1 (July 28), Love Bites Vol. 1 (August 4), Accidental Assassin Vol. 1 (September 1), Act Like You Love Me Vol. 1 (November 4), Vampire Family Vol. 1 (February 23, 2027), and Star Catcher Vol. 1 (April 6, 2027).
