Arc System Works brings in Ghost Rider, Deadpool, Loki, and Blade for their squad in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls. Ghost Rider is leading the charge with these three in tow. It’s quite a strange name for the team, which was about to be Midnight Suns at one point. Blade and Ghost Rider are Midnight Suns characters, so it fits – but.. the other two? Blade and Deadpool also are the only two who use Japanese katanas.
Gotta love the references. Marvel Tōkon’s Deadpool has Nolan North reprising his role and bringing in all the Mortal Kombat references with him. Johnny Cage groin punch your way out of that, Merc with a Mouth. Deadpool has other 4th wall breaking things to him.
Meanwhile, Blade and Loki are getting their first ever fighting game appearances. Deadpool was already teased to a certain point earlier on. Loki slightly has a nod to Thor: The Dark World with his Captain America quick change intro. Blade seems to be giving armored based offensive abilities. Loki has some tricks to his kit like teleports. He even had Blade do a crossup move, too.
Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls will have another Open Beta ready to go for July 24th-July 26. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. The FlexStrike Arcade Fight Stick will also be coming out at the same time with pre-orders opening soon.
