SEGA has released a trailer for Virtua Fighter Crossroads, during EVO 2026, and revealed a new character. Known as the Bakunawa Killer, he possesses dangerous techniques that resemble a few characters within the Virtua Fighter lore. Some point to Pai’s father – Lau Chan.
There is another speculation that this could be a certain shaolin monk who also wanted to learn from and defeat Lau – who could possibly be Leifei. Whoever this is must be highly skilled and someone that Pai Chan actually knows. The Bakunawa Killer preys on other fighters.

The so-called “Bakunawa Killer” has been tied to a series of violent attacks throughout Vilasapara.

Not too much more was revealed about this alleged fighter killer, but we’ll probably have to wait until Evo France to see and hear more with Sega’s pacing.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads is set to be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2027.
