Back in 2025, PlayStation teased its first official fighting game arcade stick, called the FlexStrike. If you’ve been following what PlayStation has been up to, you’ll know this ties into their new fighting game, Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, basically the new Marvel fighting game that isn’t coming from Capcom. So, it makes sense for PlayStation to release its own joystick, and now we finally have a price and a release date.
Per PlayStation, the FlexStrike will go up for pre-order at direct.playstation.com on June 12, 2026, with a release date of August 6, 2026, priced at $199.99. And don’t worry if you don’t have a PlayStation 5, because the fight stick will also work on PC, even though PlayStation isn’t exactly best friends with PC gaming anymore.
The FlexStrike can be used via a wired USB connection or wirelessly using a PS Link adapter, not Bluetooth. Since there aren’t any PS Link adapters currently available for PlayStation 5 accessories, including the DualSense, I’m curious what the real-world latency will look like. PlayStation is claiming 4 milliseconds, but we’ll have to wait until the controller is in hand to find out for ourselves.
Lastly, the FlexStrike comes with a sling bag, so when it’s not in use you can store it safely or use it to travel to a friend’s house or your next big tournament. The bag appears to be a hardshell design, though that hasn’t been confirmed, so it should offer solid protection as well.
Honestly, the controller looks really clean, and even though I don’t play fighting games as much as I used to. The ergonomic look like PlayStation has really done its homework. Maybe it’s me or the video but the buttons look a tad bigger than what we’re used to, but of course, we won’t know until we get it in our hands to test it out. Still, I wouldn’t mind picking one up just to put it through its paces and review it. Of course, if I buy another arcade stick, I think the missus is going to have some words for me.
The PlayStation FlexStrike arcade stick goes up for pre-order on June 12, 2026, and will be available starting August 6, 2026.
