The Penguin Gets Official Trailer From SDCC

This is only the beginning.

The Penguin

While DC Comics is waiting for its movie slate to bounce back in a big way, it’s relying heavily on its various TV projects to carry the load. We just recently got done with the second season of a certain Superman series, Harley Quinn (and Kite-Man) are helping out, too. But, in regards to the live-action stuff, The Penguin is the one that many people have their eyes on. It’s a direct follow-up to The Batman, set less than two weeks after the movie’s end.

At San Diego Comic-Con, the limited series official trailer dropped, further showcasing the plot of Oswald Cobblepot trying to take Gotham’s crime syndicate for himself now that Carmine Falcone is dead. However, there will be obstacles, especially from Carmine’s family:

Another key element to this is that The Penguin will apparently directly lead into the events of The Batman 2, which is now slated to start filming next year. If that actually happens, though, is up in the air.
