No More Heroes 3 Shows Off Style and Meta Humor

By William "Shadowz" KokMay 11, 2021

Nintendo release the No More Heroes 3 digest trailer that Suda 51 showed off back in April.

While the trailer is the same back in April, there was a minor edit on Nintendo’s presentation. That being the part of the Meta Critic score. At 2:59 mark, Nintendo blurred that part out. Seems that Nintendo is worried about copyright or some other legal reasons.

While the original presentation, SUDA 51 and Marvelous showed off the score with no shame or fear. Got to give him props for standing by the scores.

For those who haven’t seen the trailer, it shows off  Travis Touchdown in his new HD look. We see him be joined by Shinobu Jacobs and Bad Girl to take on Fu’s alien army. We then see it shift to a YouTube style video style in which we see Silvia Christel bringing the viewers up to speed with what happen to Travis. She shows off the events that happen in the last two games as well with Travis Strikes Again. She also gives some information on why Shinobu and Bad Girl are with Travis. We then see gameplay and new enemies that we will encounter. This kind of meta humor is what is expected from the creative mind of SUDA 51.

For fans who may notice, Sylvia no longer says “Welcome to the Garden of Madness.” Instead is “Welcome to the Garden of Slaughter.” Is it alluding to the changes that will come? What other secrets Suda still has for the players? The August 27 release date is fast approaching.

No More Heroes 3 will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on August 27.
