Sadly Project Scarlett will be a no show during X019

No Project Scarlett, it’s all about the games

While Microsoft is hosting one of it’s biggest gaming events today in London with X019. I feel that Project Scarlett is on everyone’s minds, and for good reason. It’s the next-gen Xbox console and so far Microsft has only been teasing us with small tidbits. Sadly, according to the general manager at Xbox, Aaron Greenberg, they won’t be any talk about Project Scarlett during X019.

Greenberg took to Twitter and answered a question regarding Project Scarlett’s appearance. To which Greenberg responded that X019 is all about the games, Project Scarlett’s time to shine will be next year.

Correct, next year is all about Project Scarlett, #X019 is all about the games!

Which is fine by me, as games are something that the Xbox brand still needs work with. There’s no doubt they’ve started turning things around, but the more games announced and show, the happier Xbox fans will be. I don’t think that just games to be shown, as I fully expect to see and hear more on Project xCloud.

During the event, we’ll see more of several announced games, possibly some more of Battletoads and Age of Empires 4. As well as a new IP from both Rare (what have they been working on?) and Obsidian (who recently released The Outer Worlds).

x2019 kicks off today at 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST, headed by a new Inside Xbox Livestream.

Oh, and if you’re trying to snag one of the 1000 exclusive DPM X019 controllers (like I am), you’ll need to be quick about it. They’re going up for sale after the stream and will be available here. Sure, they cost $100, but trust me, those things are going to go quick!
