Xbox and McDonald’s are teaming up for a new gaming promotion coming to the UK and Ireland later this month, giving players the chance to unlock a selection of in-game rewards across six popular gaming franchises.

The promotion isn’t just about digital rewards, either. McDonald’s has confirmed that the collaboration will also feature menu items inspired by Xbox games, bringing food from these gaming worlds into the real world. More information about the themed menu and availability is expected through the McDonald’s app.
For Fallout 76 fans, one of the more unusual additions will be the opportunity to experience McDonald’s food inspired by the Fallout universe. The promotion will include themed items such as Blamco Cheesy Potato Bites.
The Overwatch reward could also prove popular, with players able to unlock the Kiriko Donut Break Emote, tying into the character’s well-known love of donuts. Meanwhile, World of Warcraft players can add the Red Hot Portable Bakery to their collection.
At present, the promotion is being announced for the UK and Ireland, with no wider regional availability confirmed. That makes this a particularly interesting promotion for Xbox and McDonald’s fans on this side of the Atlantic.
While the exact launch date and full redemption process have yet to be detailed, players in the UK and Ireland should keep an eye on the McDonald’s app later this month for the promotion to go live.
