If Phantom Blade Zero has been on your radar, you’ll definitely want to tune in tonight. S-GAME is hosting a special Phantom Blade Zero State of Play on August 17, 2026, at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET, with roughly 20 minutes dedicated entirely to a new gameplay deep dive. For those in the UK, the presentation kicks off on August 18, 2026, at 3 AM BST.
And considering how good Phantom Blade Zero has looked every time we’ve seen it, 20 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay sounds like a pretty good reason to stay up.
S-GAME says the showcase will introduce never-before-seen characters who are important to the story, while also giving us a better look at the different builds and combat options available to players. The recently released pre-order trailer already showed Soul battling enemies atop a speeding wagon and crossing blades with former comrades, so hopefully tonight’s presentation gives us an even better idea of just how wild the combat can get.
The timing also lines up with pre-orders officially going live for Phantom Blade Zero. Those who pre-order will receive early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit, though both can still be unlocked normally through gameplay. And there’ also talk, well, rumor that we may even get a demo after the show. I don’t know about the later, but it would be nice.
I’ve had three chances to play Phantom Blade Zero, with the latest being at Summer Game Fest 2026, and I was blown away by what I played. I can’t wait to finally be able to play this in my own home, where I won’t have to share the controller or my time with anyone else. Needless to say, I’m very much looking forward to seeing what S-GAME has in store for us tonight.
Phantom Blade Zero launches October 29, 2026, for PS5 and PC.
