When Will We Get The Super Mario Odyssey Successor? Doug Bowser Teases The Answer…

When, Bowser, WHEN!??!!?

Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo Switch

It’s been almost three weeks since the Nintendo Switch 2 was fully revealed to the world, and we’re still reeling from what was shown, and just as importantly, what wasn’t shown. While there were some cool games displayed, there were many iconic franchises not shown there, even though many predicted they would be. While Mario was shown via Mario Kart World, which will be the system’s launch title, many have been waiting for the follow-up to Super Mario Odyssey since 2017, and we still don’t have any clue as to what it will be like.

The reason Super Mario Odyssey was so popular was that, much like other Nintendo Switch games, it changed up the formula in fun ways by making the kingdoms even more open than ever before. The title was a Game of the Year contender, and many were fine with waiting for its successor to arrive…but that was almost eight years ago now. Yet, in an interview with CNN,  Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser had this to say:

“Stay tuned. You know, we have a long, long catalogue and a long list of [intellectual property] that I’m sure will make its way to the platform.”

In the most recent episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, we broke down the “pillars” of Nintendo and feel that many of them should get put onto the Nintendo Switch 2 sooner rather than later. Guess we’ll have to “stay tuned” and see what Nintendo announces next.
