Somehow, I completely missed this news last week, but GPTRACK50 has finally given its upcoming action RPG, Stupid Never Dies, a release date. The game will launch worldwide on October 21, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
Alongside the release date, GPTRACK50 also announced that it has entered into a co-publishing agreement with SEGA, which will handle worldwide publishing and distribution for Stupid Never Dies. If GPTRACK50 doesn’t immediately ring a bell, the studio was founded by veteran Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, whose credits include games from the Devil May Cry, Dragon’s Dogma, and Resident Evil franchises. So, when you see some of the ridiculous action happening in Stupid Never Dies, there’s definitely some experience behind it.
A new release date trailer was also released, giving us another look at the game and introducing Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, a mysterious character that protagonist Davy encounters during his adventure.

So, What Exactly Is Stupid Never Dies?
Stupid Never Dies is a single-player 3D action RPG set in a world where monsters have basically taken over and humanity is close to extinction.
You play as Davy, a timid zombie who sits pretty much at the bottom of monster society. Things change when he discovers Julia, a human girl who has been frozen to death inside a freezer. Naturally, Davy falls in love with her and decides that he’s going to find a way to bring her back to life. Because apparently being dead himself isn’t going to stop him.
The game’s combat revolves around what GPTRACK50 calls “Funky Zombie Action,” with Davy able to defeat monsters and steal their abilities through the Style Eat system. These transformations give him access to different combat styles based on creatures including Werewolves, Vampires, Golems, Cyclops, Liches, Demons, and several others.
There is also the Body Hack system, which lets players modify Davy’s undead body by equipping different parts and weapons to his arms, legs, and head. Then there’s Davy Burst, a powered-up state that significantly boosts his abilities while transforming the look of the battlefield. Basically, Stupid Never Dies looks weird, fast, colorful, and completely ridiculous, which is probably exactly what GPTRACK50 is going for.
Stupid Never Dies launches for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on October 21, 2026. The Japanese release will follow on October 22.
