The charging dock immediately stood out as one of the nicer additions. It’s a small feature, but having somewhere to store and charge the controller after every gaming session feels much more convenient than reaching for a charging cable every few days.

Then there’s the controller itself. The Sugar Whirl design is unlike anything else I’ve used recently. The translucent shell blends soft shades of pink, blue and lavender together, creating a unique look that really lives up to the “Pastel Collection” branding. RGB lighting beneath the shell complements the design nicely without feeling over the top.

Despite its colorful appearance, the controller still feels premium in the hand. Weighing 236 grams, it’s substantial without becoming heavy, while the anti-slip laser-textured grips make it comfortable to hold. Overall Usage Experience

One thing I appreciated almost immediately was just how easy the controller was to get up and running. Pairing it with my Xbox Series X was quick and painless, while switching over to my PC using the included 2.4GHz receiver took only a matter of seconds. Throughout my testing, I mainly used the controller with Path of Exile, Call of Duty, and FC 26. Each game tested different aspects of the controller, from precision aiming and quick reactions to long gaming sessions and analogue control.

Moving over to Call of Duty, the Hall Effect triggers quickly became one of my favorite features. The ability to switch between full analogue travel and the shorter trigger stop mode makes a noticeable difference in competitive shooters. Weapon fire feels faster and more immediate, while the responsive thumbs ticks make aiming feel accurate and predictable.

The two remappable rear buttons also proved genuinely useful during multiplayer matches. Assigning frequently used actions to the rear buttons meant I could keep my thumbs on the sticks more often, making movement and aiming feel more fluid during hectic firefights.

FC 26 showcased a different side of the controller. Football games demand smooth analogue movement, quick passing, and plenty of precise inputs over extended periods, and the T7 Pro delivered throughout. Dribbling felt natural, passing was accurate, and the Hall Effect triggers offered excellent control when sprinting or adjusting player speed. Even after several hours of Ultimate Team and Career Mode, the controller remained comfortable thanks to its ergonomic shape and laser-textured grips.

Amazing Features

One feature I wasn’t expecting to appreciate as much as I did was the four-motor rumble system. Rather than relying on standard grip vibration, GameSir has included motors in both the grips and triggers. The result is a more layered feeling of feedback that adds another level of immersion without becoming distracting. Whether it was weapon recoil in Call of Duty, powerful attacks in Path of Exile, or crunching tackles in FC 26, the vibration always felt purposeful.

Speaking of the software, GameSir Nexus continues to be one of the company’s strongest features. It offers a surprising amount of customization, allowing you to remap buttons, adjust stick dead zones, fine-tune trigger sensitivity, customize vibration strength, tweak the RGB lighting, and create multiple controller profiles. I found it particularly useful creating separate profiles for Call of Duty and FC 26, allowing me to switch between competitive and casual settings in seconds.

Unfortunate Hiccups

Battery life unfortunately for me was an issue, due to having an early unit it had an issue holding charge. This is bought to GameSir’s attention as soon as, and they have said they will send a new one out.

But the built-in 1,050mAh battery should comfortably last through multiple gaming sessions before needing to be recharged. When it does, the included charging dock made the process effortless. Instead of searching for a USB cable, Simply place the controller onto the dock between sessions, ensuring it was always ready to go the next time you want to play.

The RGB lighting is something of a double edge sword for me, while it is a brilliant feature and bright, that is its downfall, The RGB can never be full turn off the whole controller meaning something will be glowing. The controller also glows while in its dock, Red, Amber & Green to signify its charge. While helpful, if your set up is in the room you sleep it could become an annoyance. Another downside to the RGB is, it overpowers the beautiful Sugar Whirl pastel design.

If I had one criticism, it would be that the Sugar Whirl design won’t appeal to everyone. Personally, I think it’s one of the best-looking controllers GameSir has produced, but players who prefer a more understated aesthetic may find the pastel colors a little too bold. Thankfully, that’s purely a matter of personal taste and doesn’t detract from the controller’s excellent performance.

Accessibility
