Developer Rebel Wolves has revealed the official PC requirements for The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the specs are a bit of a mixed bag, if I’m being honest. At the lower end of things, the requirements aren’t too unreasonable for a modern open-world RPG, with the minimum target aiming for native 1080p at 30 FPS on Low settings.
However, things climb quickly once you move into High and Ultra territory. Native 1440p/60 FPS on Ultra calls for an RTX 4080 or AMD RX 7900 XTX, while native 4K/60 FPS on Ultra requires an RTX 5090. That puts the top-end setting firmly in enthusiast PC territory, which in these days can be quite expensive if you don’t already have the PC with those parts in it.
Check out the PC Requirements Below.

According to the requirements, these targets were measured without upscalers or frame generation. However, DLSS, FSR, and other upscaling options will be supported to help improve performance.
The listed VRAM requirements apply to all GPUs, not just the specific cards mentioned. Similar or more powerful GPUs can be used as long as they meet the required VRAM amount.
What makes that especially interesting is that Rebel Wolves has not mentioned whether ray tracing or path tracing is part of the equation. When a game asks for that kind of hardware at Ultra, it naturally raises questions about whether advanced lighting, reflections, global illumination, or other high-end rendering features are involved.
For now, the listed requirements appear to be based on native performance, with NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR support available to help players get more performance out of their hardware. Still, the lack of any confirmed ray tracing or path tracing details leaves one big question hanging over the PC version: are these Ultra requirements simply the cost of pushing a modern open-world RPG at native resolutions, or will more technical features be revealed closer to launch?
What Is The Blood of Dawnwalker?
The Blood of Dawnwalker is the upcoming open-world dark fantasy action RPG from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment. Set in 14th-century Europe, the game puts players in the role of Coen, a young man caught between humanity and vampirism as he fights to save his family in a story shaped by the player’s choices.
The game is also Rebel Wolves’ debut title and serves as the first chapter in a new dark fantasy RPG saga. It blends swordplay, vampiric abilities, and open-world exploration, with Coen taking advantage of different skills depending on whether players are exploring during the day or at night.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled to release on September 3, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
