Rebel Wolves has announced that its upcoming dark fantasy action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, has officially gone gold ahead of its September 3, 2026, release. It’s not that much longer until everyone can get their hands on the game!
“The Blood of Dawnwalker has gone gold! Vale Sangora awaits,” the studio announced through the game’s official X account. Going gold means that the primary version of the game is complete and ready for manufacturing and certification, though Rebel Wolves will likely continue working on updates and a potential launch-day patch.
Developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. Players take control of Coen, a man who remains human during the day but gains access to his vampire abilities once night falls.
The story gives Coen 30 days and 30 nights to save his family, with certain quests advancing time and potentially changing how the narrative unfolds. Players will also have to decide what kind of person, or monster, Coen becomes as they explore Vale Sangora and interact with its inhabitants.
We recently went hands-on with The Blood of Dawnwalker during a private Bandai Namco event and came away impressed by its choice-driven story and directional combat system. While the combat took some time to understand, it started to click once we learned how to attack and defend from different directions while balancing Coen’s human and vampire abilities.
You can read The Outerhaven’s full hands-on preview of The Blood of Dawnwalker for more about the game’s story, combat, time system, open world, and performance.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launches on September 3, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
