Superman & Lois Will End With Season 4

By Todd BlackNovember 2, 2023
Superman & Lois

I wish I could say that this was unexpected, but it really wasn’t. Superman & Lois was the last true remaining part of the Arrowverse, even though it was its “extended family,” if you will. Still, the show embodied what the Arrowverse was about and even improved upon certain things that really resonated with fans. However, when it was announced that Season 4 would only be ten episodes and that much of the supporting cast would be “minimized” for “budget reasons,” we all knew that things would end sooner rather than later.

Then, with everything going on with the CW buyout, the “rebranding” that the station wanted to go through, and more, it was only a matter of time before the announcement came that Season 4 would be the last, and now it’s here. You can read the official statement on Superman & Lois Season 4 being the end below:

What this means for shows of its kind going forward is anyone’s guess, as the upcoming DCU is just as convoluted in its “pre-production stages” as just about everything else DC Comics has done over the last several years.
