Liquid Swords has revealed a new roadmap for Samson, outlining weekly updates, upcoming content expansions, and a console launch planned for Fall 2026. The announcement comes shortly after the game’s PC release, making it clear the studio is focused on rapidly improving and expanding the experience. In addition to the roadmap, it has been confirmed that Samson will launch on consoles in Fall 2026. While specific platforms have not yet been announced, the delayed release gives the studio time to refine the game and build on what already works.
Samson launched on April 8 for Steam and the Epic Games Store, introducing players to the gritty, fictional 1990s city of Tyndalston. While the game has had some technical issues at launch, the core gameplay has already made a strong impression. In our Samson review, we noted that the game does have some rough spots, the combat stands out as a major highlight, delivering impactful encounters backed by a focused design that keeps the experience engaging.
And while the game didn’t get the reception that Liquid Swords had hoped for, it has since been pushing out multiple patches per week, targeting bugs, performance, and overall polish. That pace is continuing, with Updates 3 through 6 scheduled through April 2026 and early May 2026. These updates will focus on combat refinements, new vehicle variants, performance improvements, and fixes driven directly by player feedback.
Beyond patches, two major content updates are planned. The first arrives in mid-May and expands the game’s combat systems, adding more depth to its grounded, physical fighting. The second follows in mid-June, shifting focus to vehicles and enhancing the driving experience across Tyndalston.
Liquid Swords says it is actively listening to its community through Discord and forums, and that feedback is clearly shaping the direction of the game. With consistent updates already rolling out and larger expansions on the way, Samson is positioning itself as a game that could evolve significantly by the time it reaches consoles.
