Arc System Works and PlayStation revealed the latest team in the Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls title. Doctor Doom leads his team into battle against the Champion and his “fate of the world relies on the tournament” setting. Doctor Doom had already been in the roster since demo’s past, but he gets a few new allies to help with his bidding.
Magneto is no stranger to fighting game appearances, but with some ranged business here. He doesn’t even mind getting Sentinels to do his bidding. Nor a police car to chuck at an opponent. Carnage seems to be taking out of Venom’s pages with his tentacles. Especially with Bloodlust, which is probably one of his super attacks. Green Goblin can also get his glider to do work with some summoning.
Definitely a new one for the scene. Voice actor Steven Blum gets another character to voice while Spider-Man’s second villain comes to town. Spider-Man getting two villains compared to other members of the game with just one, is fascinating.

The Champion gets his first in-game render as he’s introduced by his herald – the Promoter. The master of ceremonies and possible final boss character is here, but no real gameplay is shown yet from him. A night variant is coming for the New York stage, too.

One More Team Left
Ghost Rider’s team is the final set before launch to cover whoever is left. Thanks to a prequel comic, Marvel Tōkon: First Strike, there might be more to the final team than we’ll get to see before the release. Then again, the leak from a European game store had revealed that Magneto would be in Tokon, and low-and-behold: here he is. Scarlet Witch might be the second character on Ghost Rider’s team if the leak is true.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on August 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. The FlexStrike Arcade Fight Stick will also be coming out at the same time with pre-orders opening soon.
