Wizard of Barge brings chaos, storms, and a whole lot of goblins to Secret Lair this May
Wizards of the Coast has officially revealed its latest premium Magic: The Gathering release, and this one is aimed directly at Commander players who enjoy overwhelming the table with absolute chaos. Secret Lair Commander Deck: Goblin Storm launches May 18 exclusively through the Secret Lair storefront, combining aggressive Goblin swarms with the explosive Storm mechanic in a fully playable 100-card Commander deck.

Designed by Carmen Klomparens and Eli Rice, Goblin Storm blends fast-paced combat with spell-slinging combo potential, creating a deck built to spiral out of control in the most Goblin way possible. The deck also features artwork from fan-favorite artist Wizard of Barge, whose exaggerated and playful style gives the entire release a distinctly chaotic identity.
The deck includes 12 foil borderless cards with brand-new artwork, featuring cards like Zada, Hedron Grinder, Krenko, Mob Boss, Broadside Bombadiers, and Roaming Throne. Players will also receive 22 new foil borderless Mountain cards, Goblin-themed tokens, a Storm tracker, and additional accessories packed into a custom deck box.
Secret Lair products have traditionally leaned more toward collectible art pieces than full gameplay experiences, but Goblin Storm appears positioned as both. Commander-focused Secret Lair decks continue to grow in popularity thanks to their ready-to-play nature and unique presentation, especially among players looking for premium versions of established archetypes.

The biggest question surrounding the release may not be the gameplay itself, but the price. Goblin Storm will retail for $149.99 when it launches on May 18 at 9:00 AM PT through the Secret Lair storefront. As with previous limited Secret Lair drops, availability will likely depend on demand and inventory.
For Commander players who enjoy explosive turns, endless token generation, and the general energy of a kitchen fire nobody can quite control, Goblin Storm may end up being one of Secret Lair’s most memorable themed releases yet.
