Hyrule Warriors Age Of Imprisonment To Get Free Update This Week

By Todd BlackNovember 25, 2025
Hyrule Warriors Age Of Imprisonment Review

We’re literally in the midst of a Nintendo Switch 2 gaming renaissance, as there are new games coming out in quick succession to ensure that you have something to play during the holiday season and the new year. A title that came out earlier this month that will have you playing for some time is Hyrule Warriors Age Of Imprisonment. The game expands upon the story of Tears of the Kingdom, while showing off new characters, lore, and making clear how and why certain things happened the way they did.

As I noted in my review, Hyrule Warriors Age Of Imprisonment has a LOT of content for you to take on, between the main missions, side missions, improving your characters through material gathering, and more. So, imagine my surprise when Nintendo announced earlier this morning that there will be a free content update coming this Thursday! It’s a Thanksgiving gift from The Big N! As for what will be in it, you can check out the details below:

Unlock new challenges in a free update for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment on Nov 27. Take on fearsome enemies to earn additional in-game rewards including two new weapons, a new Sync Strike for Zelda and Calamo, and more! pic.twitter.com/ADRlQJBu5E

So yeah, that’s a lot! New challenges to take on, bosses to fight, weapons to use, and a new Synch Strike! It’s clear that Nintendo and Koei Tecmo want you to enjoy the game for a long time, and it’ll be interesting to see what other free updates will drop as time goes on.
