Terry Bogard Playable in Street Fighter 6 at Gamescom 2024

By Kevin KellyAugust 8, 2024

Terry Bogard’s Street Fighter VI arrival will be this Fall. However, if you’re looking to see where Capcom will take the Hungry Wolf of Southtown with his toolset, the wait might be shorter. Head on over to Gamescom, in Germany, this month to see the Fatal Fury protagonist in action for yourself. According to Eventhubs, Terry Bogard will be in a special build of the game at the Capcom booth. No, Wolfgang Krauser will not be joining in.

Terry has been a popular choice for fans of both SNK and Capcom titles over the years. With Ryu taking on more of a martial arts look, Terry’s everyman style, yet a good grasp of being an all-rounder, is something everyone has gravitated to. It’s been two decades since Capcom has touched SNK characters on any level. So, having a crack for how Terry will fare against everyone, including Ken, will be interesting to see. Will the Buster Wolf beat out Shin-Shoryuken?

Along with Terry Bogard’s hands-on, there is a possibility of us getting a definitive release date and gameplay trailer for the character during the show. The first ever Street Fighter guest character ever been made by an outside company is coming sooner than we think. Also, maybe we’ll get a good look at this new take on the Southtown staple Pao Pao Cafe that’s been spotted in his Evo 2024 trailer.

Terry is the second character in the season 2 DLC pass. With M. Bison out, and Mai and Elena still forthcoming, there could be a possibility of seeing at least a teaser for either within the 4th quarter. If Terry’s City of the Wolves voiceover sounds this good, I’m already anticipating Mai’s English voiceover to be just as cool, too.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Steam.
