How to get the Mark 1 Spacesuit in Starfield Early On

In Starfield, a Spacesuit is your armor; the sooner you get a better spacesuit, the better off you are. Well, what if we told you that you can access one of the best spacesuits in the game, the Mark 1 Spacesuit, all within 30 minutes of starting, and it won’t cost you a thing?

Here’s how you do it!

How to get the Mark 1 Spacesuit in Starfield

Once you’ve made your way to the Lodge, which will happen after you land on New Atlantis, you’ll go through some dialogue and will be given a Lodge Key. With this, you are free to walk around the Lodge as you deem fit.

With this key, make your way back to the door you walked through, and before you go back through it, open the door to your left. Or the door on the right if you are returning to the Lodge.

You’ll head down a short hallway, open another door, and then head down some stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs, turn left.

You’ll then come to an intersection, and you’ll want to head right.

There will be a room with a covered couch where you need to go.

Once in that room, turn left, and you’ll see a Spacesuit in a glass case. This is the Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit, helmet, and backpack. If you try to open the case, you’ll notice that it requires a high lockpicking skill, which you won’t have early on. However, you can still get it.

Change to your 1st person view, and then line up your on-screen door/reticle with the edge of the glass case. You’ll know if you did it correctly, as you can see inside the case, and a prompt that says “Manniquen” will appear. Now, all you have to do is press your action button or key (I use a gamepad, so it’s the A button).

That’s it. Now you have one Starfield Mark 1 Spacesuit, helmet, and backpack. Easily some of the best gear you’ll have early on, and it will do you well for quite some time.

I’m sure that Bethesda will likely patch this exploit up, so get it done while you can.
