Adi Shankar previously announced that he was producing an animated series based on Capcom’s Devil May Cry video game franchise. Today, he announced that the series is set to have multiple seasons.
The first season is slated to begin production in 2022 and will contain eight episodes. While there is no word on what kind of story the season will cover, it was stated that it will revolve around Dante, Vergil, and Lady.
As of now, the scripts have been completed by Adi Shankar and Alex Larsen. Shankar also stated that he acquired the rights so that Hollywood can’t screw this one up, too. Shankar previously produced the Castlevania animated series on Netflix. He referred to both series as being the “Bootleg Multiverse.”
