Funimation at NYCC Day One Recap

By Josh PiedraOctober 8, 2021

Funimation is at the New York Comic-Con event and they provided a Day One recap!

To kick off day one of New York Comic Con, Funimation, brought Grammy-nominated rapper and Anime superfan, Gupadad 4000 to the stage for the Anime Happens Here: Funimation Panel. Tons of fans gathered to watch Guapdad 4000’s electric performance – he even jumped off stage into the crowd!

Later that night, Funimation hosted a cocktail party to celebrate all things Anime, with appearances from Guapdad 4000, as well as the cast from Demon Slayer, among others. Throughout the evening guests were greeted with specialty cocktails and were treated to various photo opps.

As far as Day Two is concerned, Funimation will be hosting My Hero Academia New Movie Panel to give fans a sneak peek into the next chapter of the global anime phenomenon. Panelists include Ryan Colt Levy, Sarah Roach, Lisa Ortiz, Jeramy Kraatz, and Cristina Vee, and will be moderated by Funimation’s Lauren Moore. Additionally, guests can stop by Funimation: Sakura Park to snap pics, grab giveaways, and kick back and relax.
