Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy Definitive Edition

Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

Today, Rockstar Games has announced they are planning to release the “Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.” This collection will include several of its previous Grand Theft Auto games, with graphical improvements and gameplay updates. These games include Grand Theft Auto III, City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

The Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is set to be released on the PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Rockstar Launcher) later this year. It will also make its way to Apple iOS and Android devices in 2022.

Later this month marks a very special anniversary for Rockstar Games: 20 years since the original release of Grand Theft Auto III — the game that set players loose in the sprawling, three-dimensional metropolis of Liberty City with a new and unprecedented sense of freedom and immersion. In addition to carving a new path for the open world genre, Grand Theft Auto III established Grand Theft Auto as a cultural phenomenon, alongside its two subsequent — and equally legendary — entries in the series, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

This update coincides with the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III. A title that captivated millions of games with its groundbreaking gameplay, despite being controversial at times.

There were rumors that Rockstar was planning on releasing an updated version of several of its Grand Theft Auto games. We even talked about this in episode 106 of the Spectator Mode Podcast. You can check out the segment at the 1:27:15 mark.

Rockstar will provide more information on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition in the upcoming months.
