Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC The Isle Of Armor Coming June 17th

By Todd BlackJune 2, 2020
Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor

Pokemon Sword and Shield fans were eagerly awaiting new information about the upcoming expansion pass. And today, a new trailer dropped for both the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra expansions. In the trailer (see below), we got new looks at new forms of Pokemon, new twists in the game, and many, MANY legendary Pokemon!

First up, the trailer revealed that the Isle of Armor would indeed arrive on June 17th. The focus for this part of the DLC revealed the Galarian Slowbro which is a Poison/Psychic-type. Furthermore, as you train in the dojo on the island, you’ll get the option to receive either a Bulbasaur or a Squirtle, and then raise them into their final forms so you can see them in Gigantamax forms!

As for The Crown Tundra (whose release date has not been revealed yet), we got new looks at the places you’ll be exploring in the area, including finding new Galarian forms of Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno! There will also be two new Regi Pokemon via Regieleci and Regidraco. Finally, you’ll be able to catch basically all the legendary Pokemon from past games via max raid battles, from Mewtwo all the way up to Solgaleo and Lunala!

Oh, and if sights are to be believed, there might be a new twist on the Pokemon League coming as well!

Check it out for yourself in the video below, and be ready for the Isle of Armor to arrive in just 2 weeks!
