Cadence of Hyrule Is What You Get When You Combine Zelda With Crypt of the Necromancer

By Keith MitchellMarch 20, 2019
Cadence of Hyrule

What happens when you combine the gameplay from Crypt of the Necromancer and toss in the world of Legend of Zelda? Well, as we all saw during today’s Nintendo Nindie Spring Showcase, the ending result Cadence of Hyrule. A successor of sorts to Crypt of the NecroDancer, while featuring The Legend of Zelda characters. Releasing this Spring 2019, no price has been mentioned just yet.

Shown off at the last possible movement, this has grabbed my attention more than anything else we’ve seen today. I can’t tell if it’s because of that catchy tune, the lush graphics or the fact that I loved Crypt of the NecroDancer and most of the Zelda titles.

Both Zelda and Link join in on the fun, while the same beat-based gameplay of Crypt of the NecroDancer is present.  I totally didn’t expect Nintendo lend both of their iconic characters to the indie developer, Brace Yourself Games.

Excited? Interested? Let us know in the comments.
