Genesis Alpha One Announcement Trailer Released, Still No Release Date

By Yhani JonesJune 27, 2017

E3 2017 has ended but that’s not keeping PlayStation from introducing new games to their fans. Though Team17 released a reveal trailer for Genesis Alpha One earlier this year, PlayStation’s YouTube channel has just given us another look at this brand new, sci-fi, first person shooter experience. Check out the announcement trailer below.

In this game, players will become the captain of a Genesis starship where they will travel throughout space on the ultimate mission: to find new homes for humanity’s DNA and save the species from extinction.

That seems like quite the task! This is because of a huge crisis where war, pollution, and corruption have taken over on Earth. Now it is up to you to essentially find the means to save humanity.

Defeating aliens throughout the galaxy is not all that has to be done. In addition to that, players get the chance to build and manage their space vessel just like a true captain would. This game comes complete with many features such as resource farming and survival elements all housed within a large, randomly generated universe.

Genesis Alpha One certainly has much to offer and after watching the trailers, I can’t wait to get my hands on this! For now, this game still has no official release date, ESRB rating, or price point. Nonetheless, its revival into the spotlight hints at a possible release in the near future.

Genesis Alpha One, when released, will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned at The Outerhaven for upcoming news and updates related to this game.
