Fire Emblem Heroes Update Adds Paralogues and Characters

The Fire Emblem Heroes update adds Eirika, Ephraim, Seliph and Julia to the pool of available heroes

A new Fire Emblem Heroes update has arrived, and with it comes new characters and additional playable content. Three new stages have been added under the now unlocked “Paralogue” menu, featuring Eirika, Ephraim, Seliph and Julia. In addition to the maps, the featured heroes available at the summoning area have changed. The summoning groups Deep Devotion and Legendary Heroes have been replaced by a new group featuring the new heroes called Sibling Bonds.

The update also added new missions pertaining to the new paralogues. There are rewards for beating the chapters (in addition to one orb for each first clear) and three difficulty options. Each chapter is just as short as the rest of the game’s missions. Running through the chapters three times should only take about 30 minutes if you have properly trained units. According to the update notes, these paralogues will only be available until February 27th, so be sure to beat them quickly! A new group of heroes will be featured come the 27th.

Having beaten the missions I can report that there’s actually some pretty funny dialogue to be had before fighting Eirika and Ephraim. Ephraim brags about the sibling bond he and Eirika share, but denies the… uh… less than appropriate relationship between he and his sister that some fans ship. I definitely appreciate the lighthearted shoutout to some fan’s odd tastes. Still, I’m sure people who aren’t as into the series will be a bit perturbed by the comment. Especially because the rest of the dialogue doesn’t explain the joke.

Seliph and Julia

There are still tons of characters missing from Heroes, including Ike, the winner of the Choose Your Legend event. It seems a lot of additional content will be coming to Heroes soon enough, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out these lists of characters we want added to Fire Emblem Heroes (parts one and two)!
