WWE Pay-Per-View Predictions: WWE Fastlane 2016

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieFebruary 21, 2016

Chris Jericho v. AJ Styles

2016218_1920x1080_FastlaneMatch_AjStylesJericho--487ce6a20cfac2fcb3d4e6722c380a09

Clinton: My extremely bold prediction calls this to be the match of the night. Since there isn’t anyone who can help get AJ Styles over on the level that Chris Jericho can right now, this is definitely the best choice of an initial program for a relative newcomer to the WWE landscape. That being said, Chris Jericho takes the fall here, and AJ Styles gets the win, 2 matches to 1.

Joshua: It is the rubber match between these two and so far, WWE is treating AJ Styles like the second coming of Jesus with this push. His only loss in the WWE has been against Chris Jericho on Smackdown, but I’m kind of worried here because they gave someone else the Jesus push and that was Kevin Owens.  Despite my concerns of AJ taking a loss here and being relegated to mid-card status, I’m going to go with AJ in this match in hopes the WWE continues to let him shine.
