When presented with a chance to record footage from Marvel’s upcoming fighter for smartphones and tablets, Contest of Champions, of course I took it. Slated to be released in December 2014, this is the flagship title that pics Marvel heroes and villains against each other. The title is being developed by Kabam. One thing is for sure, this ain’t no Marvel vs Capcom or any other conventional fighter. All actions are done by swiping your finger across the screen and from what I was told at New York Comic Con, there will be no optional joystick support. It definitely looks nice for a mobile game and this was being ran on an iPAD but I couldn’t tell which one and sadly I didn’t get a hands on. Only time will tell how it turns out but Marvel if you’re listening I’d love a copy to beta, that is if it’s coming to the Android platform as well.
