Yeah, I’m doing a bit of a different post this time. We just reported the news that the Nintendo Switch has passed 152 million units sold, and we also showed you a post that stated where certain recent software titles for the Switch were in their sales numbers. What you might have noticed is that Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition wasn’t a part of those numbers. Here’s the expanded post from Blue Sky to let you know why that’s the case:
Xenoblade X DE seemingly did not reach 1 million sales within its first 11 days (counting stopped on Mar 31, when the fiscal year ended), so we don't have numbers for it.Also, Nintendo expects to sell 15 million Switch 2s in the next year.Source: 🔗 www.nintendo.co.jp

Yeah, apparently, the hyped definitive edition from the Wii U hasn’t crossed a million yet, and that’s really sad to me. Yes, I know I’ve made it clear on NEP that I’m a big fan of this game, but it’s not just that. This whole series is special and Monolith Soft has crushed it on the Switch. True, other entries in the series, including the definitive edition of the first game, had a bit of a slow start, too, but I won’t lie in saying I hoped this one would “buck the trend,” and be a hit right out of the gate.
Thus, I make a plea to Switch gamers reading this. Please get this title. It’s REALLY good, and my Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition review makes that clear! I got it in March, and I’m still enjoying it in May with no signs of slowing down. If you need a game to “take your mind off things” until the Switch 2 arrives, this is the one to get!
