Summer Game Fest 2026 included a massive surprise from developer Shift Up, who announced Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN, sequel to the award-winning Stellar Blade. When the trailer first started, I’ll be honest, I had no idea what the game was, the vibe just didn’t feel like Stellar Blade to me. Then as things progressed the trailer shifted gears and I was completely in!
It almost feels like Stellar Blade if it was a horror action game. If that’s what Stellar Blade: Blood Rain ends up being, then I am fully onboard with this tweaked direction. All we know at the moment is that Stellar Blade: Blood Rain is being developed by the original team that made the first game and it’s set in the same universe.
When we have more details we will be sure to share them, but for now we are eager to hear more from Shift Up about Stellar Blade: Blood Rain once their ready to show us more.
