SNK Announces World Championship 2026 Tournament Circuit

By Kevin KellyJanuary 14, 2026
SNK world Championships
SNK released a trailer for the World Championship Official Tournament 2026. There will be a new point system introduced to track the festivities leading up to the potential November end. Each point will be converted into $1 1USD. The SNK World Championship Finals event was a great one last month at Dreamhack Atlanta, so SNK wanted to repeat that for the 4th time.

Four games will be back, including the wild card classic, Art of Fighting 3. The game was a surprise for everyone since it’s been a legacy title. As many had pointed out, one feature of the game uses the birthdays of the characters to grant them some insane buffs on that specific day. Luckily, the tournament is open and doesn’t fall on any birthdays of the characters. Other titles will be here:
  • Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
  • Samurai Shodown Remake
  • KOF15 – The King of Fighters
  • Art of Fighting 3
The total pool for the major will be $4.1 million. The rulebook is here just in case. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves online qualifiers will be across 9 regions. Several offline qualifiers were held for the last one, including majors such as Evo and Versus Fighting XIII.
Last year, Laggia took the title home with Hotaru in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves grand final run.
