Silent Hill: Townfall, the upcoming entry in the survival horror series, will arrive on September 24th. Konami announced the release date yesterday as part of the PlayStation State of Play event.
Like last year’s Silent Hill f, Silent Hill: Townfall will eschew the town of Silent Hill instead. While Silent Hill f took place in Japan, Townfall will be set in Scotland. It will specifically take place on St. Amelia, a fictional town seemingly based on the real-life location of St. Monans.
In addition to being set in Scotland, Silent Hill: Townfall is being developed in Scotland by Screen Burn Interact. Annapurna Interactive and Konami co-publish the horror game.
The story focuses on Simon, a man who returns to St. Amelia to find it covered in fog. This is surprising to him, though not to us. Many creepy happenings begin to go down. Armed with a trusty CRTV television, Simon must get to the bottom of them.
Silent Hill: Townfall releasing in the fall makes sense for two reasons. The first is the obvious one: it’s a horror game. Fall—or autumn—is spooky season. It’s the perfect time to cozy up with a creepy title as Halloween approaches.
The second reason is a special one for the Silent Hill series. Silent: Hill Townfall will mark the third consecutive year of a Silent Hill release in the fall. Silent Hill f released in 2025 on September 25th. And before that, Silent Hill 2 Remake came out on October 8th, 2024. So Townfall’s September 24th date puts it right on schedule.
Interested players may now pre-order the Standard or Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition comes with digital pre-order bonuses. These include the CRTV styles of “Rusted” and—exclusive to PS5—”Beach Edition.”
The Deluxe Edition comes with the above. It also include a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, an alternate outfit for protagonist Simon, and 48 hour early access.
Note that physical copies of Silent Hill: Townfall are only available for pre-order for PlayStation 5. Otherwise, Townfall will release on September 24th, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
