I played Petit Planet earlier this year during a beta and also wrote about it. It was already full of features and things you could do. This made me wonder how soon we would be able to see it before it went live. Today at gamescom 2026, we received an answer from HoYoverse in a trailer shown at the event.
The launch window trailer unveiled at gamescom ONL offers a warm glimpse of life among the stars: sunlight glinting off a fishing line, crops growing with the changing seasons, and the boundless Starsea stretching beyond the horizon. Players can set off on a voyage whenever the mood strikes, share stories with Neighbors they meet along the way, and connect with kindred spirits at the lively Galactic Bazaar. A gentle, fairy-tale world filled with kindness and possibility awaits every Planet Tender.
Petit Planet is HoYoverse’s first cozy galactic life simulation game. In the game, players take on the role of a Planet Tender and care for a planet of their own, gathering resources in daily life, crafting furniture by hand, and shaping the land piece by piece into a one-of-a-kind galactic home. The game also features a rich Neighbor interaction system, with fuzzy Neighbors gradually becoming part of your everyday life as you pick fruit together, head out on adventures, build homes, and share quiet, cozy days side by side. When you’re ready to venture farther, you can sail into the Starsea and explore Islets scattered across its vast expanse, discovering rare resources, hidden encounters, and diverse
landscapes and ecosystems along the way. At the bustling Galactic Bazaar, players from around the world can meet, mingle, and form unique connections through a variety of activities.
Petit Planet, HoYoverse’s first cozy galactic life sim, will launch globally this winter on PC, iOS, and Android, with seamless cross-platform support. Feels weird not to have this also being released on PlayStation 5. Pre-registration is now open across all platforms.
