Nope, Whatever That Game Awards Statue Is About, It’s Not Lords of the Fallen 2

Good guess, but that's not it.

Ever since that mysterious statue for some sort of game that will be revealed during the 2025 The Game Awards appeared, everyone has been speculating about what game it belongs to. The guesses have been all over the place: a new DLC for DOOM, The Elder Scrolls VI, a new Remnant II DLC, God of War—just to name a few. Recently, some have speculated that the statue is tied to the upcoming Lords of the Fallen 2, the follow-up to the rebooted/reimagined Lords of the Fallen released in 2023. Except, it isn’t.

Marek Tyminski, CEO and founder of CI Games, the publisher of Lords of the Fallen and the upcoming sequel, replied to this speculation on his personal Twitter/X account, effectively shooting it down:

Flattered so many think we’re behind that statue.
Can confirm it’s not us, we’re just as hyped as you are. Devs are praying it’s something FROM. Huge respect to them and we dream of reaching that level one day. Big news coming for both Lords of the Fallen and Lords II. We’ve listened. Soon it’s time to reveal. Thanks for the insane love on the August trailer, now we’re ready to step it up again.

Personally, as someone who’s been following the game and enjoyed the first, I didn’t think it was connected to this universe either. There are too many elements on the statue that don’t exist in those worlds. For example: the bear, the dragon, whatever that lizard-like creature is, and the armored soldier. None of that resembles anything inspired by Lords of the Fallen, especially the armor. Though, the idea of being mauled by a bear isn’t the most out of this world idea.

The 2025 The Game Awards Statue - What is it

So, what is it? I don’t know, but I’ve given up trying to guess. I’ll just wait until December 11, 2025, when The Game Awards airs and we finally find out.

But just like Mark, I’m also hoping it’s something from FromSoftware. Sure, the studio just released its first DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign, and it’s working on The Duskbloods for the Switch 2, but that doesn’t mean the team can’t be working on something else. And word is, FROM is indeed developing another game. Maybe this statue is tied to that. Maybe it isn’t. We’ll find out soon enough.

But maybe… Altered Beast?
