New Tony Hawk Pro Skater Game Being Teased by Activision

By Keith MitchellFebruary 21, 2025

It’s been a long time since we last got a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game. The incredible Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remaster, which revived the first two classic games with stunning visuals and smooth gameplay, left fans craving more. But since its release in 2020—and the unfortunate dismantling of its developer, Vicarious Visions—many feared the franchise was gone for good.

However, something mysterious is brewing. The official Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater website has suddenly launched a countdown timer, pointing to March 4, 2025. What could this mean?

One of the most intriguing details is that Iron Galaxy is now listed on the website, replacing any mention of Vicarious Visions. Could this mean that Iron Galaxy will be handling development for whatever this next Tony Hawk game ends up being? The studio has experience with ports and remasters, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if they stepped in to continue the franchise, since Vicarious Visions is officially a Blizzard studio.

But that’s not all—there’s another clue pointing to the return of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. According to the Twitter account charlieINTEL, an easter egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 seems to be teasing the same Tony Hawk logo. The reference appears in a brand-new multiplayer map called “Grind”, which was just released.

Could this be Activision’s way of hyping up an official announcement? With multiple hints dropping, it’s looking more and more likely that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater is about to make a comeback. March 4, 2025, can’t come soon enough!

Looks like a teaser for something related to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater has been found in Black Ops 6’s Grind MP map!

So, what does Activision have in store for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater? Like many of you, I want to see another remaster, this time with the 3rd and 4th games. Activision, bring on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, if you please.

Until then, if you haven’t played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, why not? It’s a fantastic remaster of the first two games and easily some of the best skateboarding games ever released.
