New FragPunk Preview Details of Season 1: Wild Dawn

FragPunk is a new 5v5 hero shooter that’s all about letting players use the power of Shard Cards to break the game’s rules. These unique cards let you change everything and anything about the match, including using powerful attacks and debuffs against your foes. You’ll also have your Lancer hero powers and a wide selection of weapons to call on, ensuring no two FragPunk battles are ever alike.

LAUNCH DAY CONTENT: 150+ Shard Cards, 13 Lancers, 7 Maps, and Free Launch Bonuses

The newly released season preview trailer offers a deep dive into the game’s launch features:

Shard Cards: Over 150 Ways to Break the Rules

At the core of FragPunk’s gameplay are Shard Cards —modifiers that let players bend match rules on the fly. There will be over 150 cards available at launch, including 50 brand new ones that have never been revealed before, ranging from tactical buffs to chaotic global effects. To further increase the strategic depth, players can create powerful combos with multiple cards or create synergies by combining cards with their Lancer’s abilities.

Some of the new cards include:

Dimensional Travel – Travel between two worlds; players in each world are invisible to each other.

Black Hole Traps – Traps generate black holes when triggered.

Feinting Flash – Dropping your primary weapon generates a flashbang.

Casual Modes: Zombies, One-Shot Mayhem, and More

Alongside competitive Shard Clash, FragPunk debuts multiple casual modes for laid-back chaos Including Outbreak, a zombie-survival twist where infected players join a growing horde, and other side modes including One Shot (One-Shot-One-Kill), Sniper Deathmatch (Sniper-Only), Melee Deathmatch (Knife-Only), etc.

Brand New Lancer, Map and Weapons

FragPunk features 13 lancers and 7 Shard Clash maps at launch, the new trailer provides hints for the brand new lancer Chum, a stone-made robot with a fish pal which shapes both his personality and combat style,  and the new map Dongtian, an oriental battleground set within a floating mountain palace. Moreover, the launch arsenal will be composed of 20 weapons including the new sniper rifle Highlife, which was designed for aggressive, mobile play, and Burner, a secondary weapon enabling players to fire incendiary bombs and create burning areas, causing continuous damage for any enemy passing through.

Free Launch Bonuses: Rewards for Early Players

To celebrate launch, all players logging in during the launch phase can receive extra bonuses for free:

– 20 Blue-and-White Porcelain Weapon Skins: A sleek ceramic collection featuring historical artistry.

– In-Game Currency, Sticker Packs & Weapon Charms: Customize loadouts with cosmetic flair.

FragPunk will be launching on March 6th, 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation®5
