It was announced that Tomato Soup’s manga series, A Witch’s Life in Mongol, will receive a television anime adaptation under the name of Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia. The announcement was made by TV Asahi and Science SARU.

As of the time of this writing, information about the staff, cast, and premiere date are unknown; however, a promotional video was released, which you can check out below:

Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is described as follows:

Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is a court drama set in 13th-century Mongolia.

It follows Sitara (Fatima), a former slave girl captured by the Mongolian Empire, who meets Töregene , the 6th wife of the Mongolian Emperor—who also harbors complicated feelings toward the Empire. Together, they begin to disrupt the very foundation of the empire.

Yen Press is publishing the manga in North America with the first volume set for release on May 27.
