Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment Data Size Is 3x Past Titles

More data, more to show off to gamers?

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment, Tokyo Game Show

If you haven’t seen it yet, my review of Pokemon Legends Z-A on the Nintendo Switch 2 has gone live! The reason I bring this up is that it was the first of four key titles coming to the Nintendo Switch to help make its “holiday season” very impressive and almost irresistible to those who have the console and those who need to get it. The best part is that we’re less than ten days away from the arrival of the next game in the lineup, and it’s exclusive to the Switch 2. Naturally, I’m talking about Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment.

The game will follow the travels and exploits of Princess Zelda, as she and King Rauru gather the Champions and other allies of the past to fight the terror of Ganondorf. Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have made it clear in the past that this journey will flesh out the “Imprisoning War” in more ways than people expect. To that end, on the official store page for the game, it was revealed that the download size would be over 42 GB.

For context, that’s over three times the amount that was needed for the original spinoff title, and almost four times what was needed for Age of Calamity.

Why does this matter? If I were to guess, it wouldn’t just be about the graphics, though that would help, but be about the content within the title. We know we’ll see more of the Ancient Kingdom of Hyrule, and it could be that we do more side quests to see it alongside all the battles we do. We could also see lots more cutscenes, which could flesh out the story even further.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment releases on November 6th for the Nintendo Switch 2.
