Hunter X Hunter is getting a fighting game
The 1998 Hunter X Hunter anime and manga series is getting a “full-scale” fighting game. According to a tweet translated to English from Fighting Game Daily, we’ll be getting some news about this on January 6th, 2023. For those who will be in Japan at that time, Tokyo Dome City Hall will be where it will be revealed.  Bushroad Games will be publishing it.

Eighting is no stranger to the danger of the fighting game. Eighting got their start alongside the Bomberman creators Hudsonsoft to create the anthropomorphic brawler Bloody Roar. In recent years, anime and Sentai-based games from shows such as Inuyasha, Zoids, and Kamen Rider. These days, Eighting also took their talents to create DNF Duel with Arc System Works and Neople last year. With Marvel vs Capcom 3 series as their notable work, there’s no telling how hardcore they will go with this title. The anticipation of seeing what they do is definitely there. Anime Fighters that have taken to primetime have been pretty rampant on the scene. Dragonball FightersZ and Granblue Fantasy Versus are a few other 2.5 D examples next to what is out and getting competitive fighting game buzz. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is still available on PS4, Xbox, and Steam.
