Horizon Forbidden West heads to PC with Nvidia DLSS support

By Keith MitchellJanuary 8, 2024
Horizon Forbidden West Nvidia DLSS 3 reveal

Now that CES 2024 is in full swing, many reveals are heading our way, such as the recent announcement during the Nvidia Special Address CES 2024 that the 2022 PlayStation title, Horizon Forbidden West, will be heading to PC. You may recall that back in 2023, it was also revealed that Horizon Forbidden West would make its way to the PC via the Epic Games Store.

Nixxes will be handling the PC port, which is great news. When Horizon Zero Dawn was released, it took Guerilla months to get the game to an acceptable level before they ended support to work on the follow-up.
Horizon Forbidden West Nvidia DLSS 3 revealThe reveal also mentioned that Horizon Forbidden West will support Nvidia’s DLSS 3. This will also include Nvidia’s DLAA and Nvidia’s Reflex technology, which helps reduce system latency, allowing the system to respond quicker to inputs from the gamer.

There still hasn’t been any mention of other upgrades, such as ultrawide support, but I’d imagine we’ll hear more about this closer to the game’s release date. There’s no word when Horizon Forbidden West will be released, but at least there’s the acknowledgment that the game is on its way to the PC. However, with this game including DLSS 3 support, here’s to hoping this doesn’t mean that AMD’s FSR support will excluded.

This story is developing.
