Fatal Fury City of the Wolves Chun-Li Update Is Happening On November 5

By Kevin KellyNovember 3, 2025
Chun-Li is back in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves early

Chun-Li’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves appearance will be coming sooner than we all thought. SNK made it clear that the SNK World Championships tournament this year at DreamHack Atlanta will be a special time for their fans. SNK dropped a trailer revealing that Chun-Li will be available on November 5th, just days after her character’s gameplay trailers surfaced.

Street Fighter’s favorite “Strongest Woman in the World” (her words, not ours) will be making her way to the game along with her Episodes of South Town story, two costumes, Arcade Mode story, Combo Trials, and more! Chun-Li will most likely have some soundtrack additions to the Juebox, such as her Street Fighter VI theme and her classic theme tracks.

This does feel early, as Joe Higashi‘s release date was nearly a month ago. While Andy, Joe, and Ken had at least 2 months between them, Chun-Li is nearly just one month behind the Muay Thai champ. Art of Fighting boss Mr. Big is still scheduled for Winter as the final.

The Mr. Big Question

Mr. Big already appeared in City of the Wolves as a side character within certain parts of the story, as did Andy and Joe before their roster additions. Seeing the gangster in action is something that has yet to happen within City of the Wolves. The timing could have worked out if Mr. Big had gotten a trailer during the SNK World Championships, since the classic Art of Fighting 3 made a debut on the stage as a major in the Championship tour. A few weeks before, SNK released a teaser involving the two who dethroned Mr. Big in his first game, hinting at a potential new reveal, yet this has come up short of anything as of yet.

This would possibly mean that Mr. Big and a potential Season Pass 2 DLC trailer will be shown at The Game Awards 2025 instead, to set up what’s next for the game’s anniversary. Mr. Big has been in other titles since his first appearance, such as Neo Geo Battle Coliseum and King of Fighters ’96. Mr. Big has been a zoner at heart, being able to keep opponents at bay, similar to Billy Kane.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
