Featured on the Standard Edition of EA Sports College Football 27 cover are Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney, and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy. The trio earned the spotlight following standout performances during the 2025-2026 college football season and represents some of the brightest young talent in the sport.
The Deluxe Edition expands the celebration of college football with Texas standout Colin Simmons, Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore, USC quarterback Jayden Maiava, and national championship-winning coach Curt Cignetti. The cover also features several iconic mascots and game day traditions that have become synonymous with the college football experience.
The cover reveal arrives just days before EA Sports plans to unveil College Football 27 on June 4. The game is scheduled to launch worldwide on July 9.

According to EA Sports Vice President of Franchise Strategy and Marketing Evan Dexter, this year’s entry aims to capture the modern era of college football more authentically than ever before. He stated that the cover athletes were selected not only for their performances on the field but also for the impact they have had on fans across the country.
Moore’s selection comes after a remarkable season in which he threw for more than 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns while leading Oregon deep into the College Football Playoff. Toney enjoyed a record-breaking campaign at Miami, hauling in 109 receptions for more than 1,200 yards and playing a major role in the Hurricanes’ championship run. Meanwhile, Lacy became one of the nation’s most productive running backs, rushing for more than 1,500 yards and scoring 24 touchdowns during his first season with Ole Miss.
All three athletes spoke about the honor of appearing on the cover of a series many of them grew up playing.
For Moore, the achievement carries extra significance after Oregon was featured on last year’s Deluxe Edition cover. Toney described the opportunity as a validation of the hard work he has put into his career, while Lacy called the experience surreal and a once-in-a-lifetime honor.
The Deluxe Edition cover shines a spotlight on some of college football’s biggest programs and personalities. Texas defender Colin Simmons headlines one of the nation’s most feared defenses, while Leonard Moore and Jayden Maiava represent two programs with championship aspirations entering the upcoming season.
With the full reveal now just around the corner, fans will not have to wait long to learn what improvements and new features EA Sports has planned for College Football 27. If the excitement surrounding the cover athletes is any indication, anticipation for this year’s entry is already building rapidly ahead of its July release.
